President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to attend a meeting of the council of the heads of the founding states of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, reports TajikTA.
"The agenda of the IFAS summit in the city of Turkmenbashi is topical issues of cooperation of the Central Asian countries in improving the ecological condition of the Aral Sea basin in the context of global climate change," the message reads.
It is expected that a joint communiqué of the Council of Heads of State will be adopted following the meeting.
Recall, the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) was established in 1993 by the heads of five Central Asian states (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan).
