Kazakhstan and Mongolia signed an agreement on the transfer of convicts was held, the Prosecutor General's Office said.
"This international document will allow citizens of both countries, if convicted for crimes to imprisonment abroad, to serve a sentence imposed by a foreign court at home, which in turn will create favorable conditions for the rehabilitation and integration into society of convicted Kazakh and Mongolian citizens, "- explained in the information on the website of the department.
"The conclusion of international agreements of this kind is conditioned by the requirements of Article 11 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, according to which the state guarantees its citizens protection and patronage outside it," the message reads.
Recall, Kazakhstan had already concluded agreements with Mongolia on the extradition of persons who had committed a crime to bring them to criminal liability or to enforce a sentence, as well as on legal assistance and legal relations in civil and criminal cases.
