The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, told about the water problems of the Central Asian countries.

During the meeting of the heads of Central Asian countries in Astana, Nursultan Nazarbayev said that the leaders of the countries have solved the problem of water.

"The main problem is water, we have 70 million people living near Amudariya and Syrdaryia. We agreed that there should not be political trade", - mentioned Nazarbayev.

The President also noted that this issue should be solved through the intervention of all countries.

Recall, according to the World Bank experts, the deficit of water in Central Asia can reduce the gross domestic product by 11% by 2050. In 2014, "Nature" magazine stated that Central Asia is one of the countries that use water resources inefficiently.
