Kazakhstanis lost more than 800 million tenge, having invested in financial pyramids, reports deputy director of preventive work and control of the State Revenue Committee Yerden Zhuma.
In 2017, 11 criminal cases opened, 10 of them have already sent to court. The amount of damage amounted to more than 800 million tenge. Some of these facts are considered grave crimes, for which the term from 5 to 12 years of imprisonment is threatened.
"Given that our service is more economical, we are now working on the issue of how the financial pyramids are dealt with by the internal affairs bodies.Of course, if we receive any information, we will also deal with it, and we will identify these crimes as agreed, " said Erden Juma.
He also mentioned that in 2017, with regard to organized criminal groups, the Economic Investigations Service reviewed 58 criminal cases. With the sanction of the court, property worth two billion tenge was seized.
