The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev received the chairman of the National Bank Daniyar Akishev. This is reported by the official website of Akorda.
At the meeting he presented to the President of Kazakhstan a report on the results of the National Bank's work for 2017.
Daniyar Akishev also informed the President about the current activities of the National Bank, the main areas of monetary policy, as well as the situation on the country's financial market.
As stated by the Chairman of the National Bank, the inflation rate last year made up 7,1%, and at the end of the year the gold-currency fund's volume reached 30,7 billion dollars.
"In January, the situation was advanced. The bank's reserves grew by 3% and reached 31,7 billion dollars. The assets of the National Fund in foreign currency made up 58,3 billion US dollars.The inflation rate in January accounted to 0,6%" - noted Akishev.
