On December 25-26, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sooronbai Jeenbekov, will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan, reports Aizada Subakozhoeva, head of the foreign policy department of Kyrgyzstan's presidential administration. He also to meet with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
Negotiations in a narrow circle and a meeting in an expanded format are planned. The sides will sign a document on the regime of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border and an agreement on demarcation of the border. ‘The border with Kazakhstan is 1 thousand 241 km. Demarcation work is completed. After the signing of the document, legal registration will finish’, she noted.
‘The Kyrgyz side is determined to strengthen further friendly relations and partnership based on equality, mutual benefit and respect’, Subakozhoeva added.
Recall, on November 30, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev met in Minsk, and the sides signed a ‘road map’ to decide problems between the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border. Also, during the meeting Kazakh President invited the Kyrgyz President to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan.
