The US Justice Department reported that 4,5 million dollars, which was stolen by the former President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev and his sun Maksim, has already returned to Kyrgyzstan.
According to the information distributed by the US, money was already transferred to the account of the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan.
It was known as a result of the criminal case against Yevgeni Gurevich, who was private banker of the Bakieyv's family, that 6 million dollars was stolen.
So, it is planned that this money to be used to improve social condition of Kyrgyz people, especially, to provide villages with celan water, to buy modern medical equipments and to fight corruption.
In addition, it was reported that the US and government of Kyrgyzstan are negotiating on the returning remainded funds.
Recall, earlier, it was said by the First Deputy Assistant Secretary of the United State Alice Wells that the USA intends to return 4,6 million dollars to Kyrgyzstan stolen by the family of ex-President Kurmanbek Bakiyev.
