In January-November 2018, 38.2% of the total foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan accounted for the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the remaining 61.8% - to other countries of the world, reports the State Committee of the Republic Uzbekistan statistics.
In particular, for the aforementioned period of time, the entire foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to $ 28,664.7 million and increased by 17.6% compared with January-November 2017. Of which $ 10956.3 million falls on the CIS countries, and $ 17708.4 million - on other countries.
Uzbekistan significantly (21%) increased its exports to the CIS countries, bringing to $ 4,549.2 million, and reducing (14.7%, $ 6,774.8 million) exports to other countries of the world. However, even with this trend, the share of Uzbek exports to other countries (59.8%) is still ahead of exports to the CIS countries (40.2%).
Imports from the CIS countries and other countries of the world also increased significantly (41.9% and 33.9%, respectively). Thus, imports from the CIS countries amounted to $ 6,407.1 million, while from other countries - $ 10,933.6 million. Here, imports from other countries (63.1%) are ahead of imports from the CIS countries (36.9%).
As a result, the negative balance in trade amounted to $ -6016.7 million, of which $ -1857.9 million falls on the CIS countries and $ -4158.8 million - on other countries of the world.
