Mongolia has begun the construction of its first oil refinery, reports the "Reuters" news agency.
According to the agency, the Prime Minister of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh and Indian Interior Minister Rajnath Singh participated in the openning ceremony of the first oil refinery in the country's Dornogov province in June 22. It is expected that the construction of an oil refinery worth 1,35 billion dollars will be completed by 2022.
According to experts, the oil refinery will be provided country with gasoline in the future. Because, Mongolia has imported petroleum products from abroad. According to the statistical data for the past year, the Mongolian country imported 1,5 million tons of oil products.
