Three Kazakhstani athletes came out of big sport with a doping scandal.
As stated by the National Anti-Doping Center, skier Erdos Akhmetov, weightlifter Gulnaz Shamieva and oarsman Sophya Emelyanova did not pass the doping test. Due to the fact that "maldonium" wasfound in blood of Akhmetov and he was dismissed of big sport until January 24, 2022. The "sibutramine" and "testosterone" were found from Shamieva and she was dismissed from big sport until February 8, 2022. The "oralturinol" was found from the blood of Emelyanova and she was also dismissed until February 6, 2022.
Recall, this is not the first time that Kazakhstani athletes have a doping scandal. Before this, Olympic weightlifting champions Ilya Ilyin, Maya Maneza, Zulfiya Chinchanlo and other athletes were removed from the big sport because of doping controversy.
