The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to make a new "economic constitution" of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek President instructed to prepare a new Civil Code, which regulates the economic and financial laws of Uzbekistan. The new "economic constitution" should replace the current Code adopted in 1995-1996, and in the future it should contribute to investing in the country, developing private entrepreneurship, and developing an open economy.
According to the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan on April 5, a special interdepartmental commission has been established. The main objective of the Commission is to involve international organizations in the work of the new Code. The new code, which has been named as the "economic constitution" by experts, should be ready by April 1, 2020.
