The annual Central Asian Trade Forum to hold for the first time in Tashkent on October 17-18 with the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.
The annual forum to hold for the eighth time. This year the theme of the forum "New horizons in the development of trade and investment" reflects the growing openness of Central Asia for regional and international trade, especially in Uzbekistan. A number of measures are being taken in the country: from monetary liberalization to reforms in the business sector aimed at accelerating economic growth.
Recall last year the forum in Almaty brought together over 1100 participants from 18 countries. With the first forum in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in 2011, business leaders, government officials and experts from Asia, the United States, Europe and the Middle East used the event as a platform for exchanging ideas, concluding deals and creating new partnerships and future cooperation.
