The Khrunichev Space Center, engaged in the production of Proton rockets and the development of Angara missiles, announced the reduction of almost 200 of its employees at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
Khrunichev Center received last year more than 23 billion rubles of net loss and requested 30 billion rubles for the improvement of production. The enterprise also plans to sell land in the center of Moscow to cover losses. The management of the company informed that all shortened employees to be offered other jobs in the branches of the Center, and ask other Baikonur enterprises to provide vacancies.
The company's annual report indicated that in 2017 the total number of Khrunichev Center personnel was 25 thousand 83 employees. For comparison, in 2015 in the center worked 30 thousand 288 people.
