Kazakhstan's Ministry of Finance offered to allocate an additional 36.3 billion tenge from the Republican budget for the further development of Astana, said Minister of Finance Bakhyt Sultanov.
He noted that this is necessary since after the EXPO-2017 transfers to the two capitals were reduced.
"The draft clarification provides for the allocation of additional funds for the further development of Astana and Almaty, and after the year of EXPO-2017 the transfers to Astana and Almaty were slightly reduced, taking into account the refusal of the targeted transfer and the reduction of the guaranteed transfer from the National Fund".
''We considered this when we accepted the budget for the next three years Taking into account the instructions of the head of the state, as well as the forecasted increase in budget revenues for these purposes, it is proposed to send additional 36.3 billion tenge, "Bakhyt Sultanov said.
On March 27, the capital's budget was revised, taking into account the transformation of state bodies. The total volume of the specified budget was KZT391.7 bln, with an increase of KZT10.5 bln.
