Mazhilis deputies approved the ratification of an agreement allowing the US to carry goods to Afghanistan through the territory of Kazakhstan.
As stated by the Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov, amendments and additions were made to the agreement between Kazakhstan and the United States approved by the Mazhilis. Specifically, after the amendments, the United States will ship special cargoes to Afghanistan through ports Aktau and Kuryk.
According to Vice Minister of Investment and Development Roman Sklyar, since the entry into force of the agreement the Kazakhstani companies transported 700 containers (13 thousand tons of cargo) and earned 200 million tenge.
