The Prosecutor General's Office made a statement concerning the special operation that was conducted on February 15 and 16 in Almaty, Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan regions.
According to the special representative of the Prosecutor General's Office Oksana Loskutova, during the special operation conducted In the Almaty, Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan regions, 35 people were detained and 33 were arrested by the court decision. As a result of the special operation held on February 15-16, on the Kazakh-Chineese border "Korgas", "Altynkol", "Kalzhat" customs posts, on the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border "Korday", "Karasu" customs posts and on the Kazakh-Uzbek border "Saryagash", "Kazygurt", "Atameken", "Kaplambek" customs posts were checked and the plan of smuggled goods was revealed.
