The work on reducing the students’ homework was discussed in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
‘We are now working to reduce the burden on the student as a whole. Sanitary requirements included norms that allow fitting into 5 working days. In the context of all links of education, these norms are specifically defined and reflected in the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Today, the educational load that is assigned to the house should not exceed 150 minutes, this is also reflected in our order’, said Vice Minister of Education and Science Bibigul Asylova at the press conference.
She also noted that the Ministry is systematically working to reduce the level of homework. There have been some alterations to the regulation of homework assignments. Homework given to children has been reduced by one third, and this document is already in operation, starting from September 1 this year.
