Uzbekistan's population has reached to 32,65 million people, reports the State Statistics Committee of the country.
According to the latest statistical studies, the population has increased by 533,4 thousand people comparing with previous years, reaching 32,6 million people. 50 percent (16, 53 million) in the city, 49 percent (16,12 million) live in rural areas. The most population of Uzbekistan live in Samarkand (3,72 million), Fergana (3,62 million), Kashkadarya (3,48 million) and Andijon (3,11 million).
In 2017, the population growth in Uzbekistan constituted of 554,0 thousand people. This figure was 17,4 thousand less than in the previous year. In 2016, this indicator made up 571,4 thousand people. 775,5 thousand children were born in Uzbekistan last year.
