On December 9, 2017, a former President of Kyrgyz Republic Askar Akayev and his family members was pelted with eggs in Berlin, reports AKIpress.
The incident occurred during his meeting with the Kyrgyz citizents in Germany. The meeting with ex-President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev was announced by the association KyrgyzClub Germany and is presented as a direct dialogue ‘face to face’. In addition, all participants can ask their question and express their opinion without censorship and restriction with him, the announcement said. He arrived with his wife Mayram Akayeva and daughter Bermet at the meeting place.
About a dozen compatriots met on the street of the former president, some of them held posters ‘Akayev go away’. After greetings to the audience, he immediately said that he would not answer questions. When he said goodbye, one of the visitors threw eggs at Askar Akayev and his family.
Recall, a former President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev fled Kyrgyzstan in 2005 after the March revolution. Since then, he has not returned to the country. Nowadays, he lives in Moscow.
