As stated by local media representatives, on April 16 in the capital of Armenia in Yerevan, opposition supporters held protests due to the appointment of former President Serzh Sargsyan as prime minister. Police initially wanted to disperse the population gathered at the Constitutional Court building in a peaceful manner.
