The lawyer of Gulnara Karimova will meet with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reports the centralasian.org news agency.

According to the agency, Gulnara Karimova's (daughter of the ex-president Islam Karimov) lawyer arrived in Tashkent. According to preliminary estimates,the Swiss lawer Manja will meet Gulnara Karimova, who has been in custody since 2015, and is going to know her condition. Moreover, the Swiss lawyer will ask the Uzbek Prosecutor-General's Office to organize a meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

As stated by Greguar Manja, Gulnara Karimova is currently in prison in a three-hour prison from Tashkent. Her condition has slightly improved with the arrival of Shavkat Mirzieev. However, case of Karimova is directly related to Mirziyoyev. There are many unknown things in the criminal case that have not yet been discovered.

Recall, Gulnara Karimova was sentenced to 5 years in prison in 2015. She was accused of "embezzlement of state property", "abuse of office", "bribery and extortion on a large scale". The Prosecutor-General's Office of Uzbekistan publicly disclosed fresh details about Gulnara Karimova's case in the last June. It is said that a new criminal case has been initiated over the daughter of ex-president.
