The construction of the 50 MW power plant Baikonur Solar in Kyzylorda region to finance by the EBRD, the ADB and the Clean Technologies Fund, the press service of the Energy Ministry reports.
Thanks to this project, CO2 emissions in Kazakhstan to drop by 75 thousand tons.
The financing program to consist of two loans in the amount of up to $ 30 million in tenge from the EBRD and up to $ 10.4 in US dollars and euros ($ 8 million 786 thousand and € 1 312,195) from the fund of clean technologies. ADB will provide a loan of up to $ 11.5 million in tenge.
The recipient of the loan is Baikonur Solar LLP, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the private British investment holding United Green.
