The presidential election is underway in Azerbaijan
On February 5, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an agreement on April 11 to hold early presidential elections. Since that day preparations for the presidential election in the Republic have started.
Five candidates are taking part in this election, excluding Ilham Aliyev. By the 2016 Constitution, the president will be elected for seven years. Ilham Aliyev came to power in 2003. He has since been victorious in all 2008 and 2013 elections. Experts believe that Aliyev will certainly win this year's elections.
