'We buried economic science in our country', Kazakhstani business oligarch and son-in-law of Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev, Timur Kulibayev said at the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurship Presidium`s enlarged meeting. Also, he proposed to raise own economic specialists, and not invite consultants from abroad.

'We buried economic science in the country. We do not have people with whom to talk about economic issues. We are always waiting for someone who comes to give us advice. It does not work. Everyone is looking for own way; every nation is looking for a job. We need to develop our expertise' Kulibaev said.

'The Nobel Prize winners come to the Astana Economic Forum, but, in reality, we invite them for entourage, we do not ask them questions such as 'what should we do, what steps should we take, or what can you tell me'. Let's discuss in this direction. And let's spend these funds on making our specialists go to seminars, conferences', he suggested.

Kulibayev again stressed that 'economic science has completely trampled in Kazakhstan. We could not develop such a national economic science. We need to do this. Then the government will have better and more balanced decisions, and we will understand whether we are moving right', he concluded.
