On February 27, Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov met with his Kyrgyz counterpart Erlan Abdildayev. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of the arrest and citizenship of the deputy of the Supreme Council, Damirbek Asylbekuly, detained in Almaty on February 15.
Recall, as a result of speacial operations that conducted on 15 and 16 February in the Almaty, Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan regions, the deputy of the Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan, Damirbek Asylbekuly was detained. During the investigation, it was found that he acquired the citizenship of Kazakhstan.
