An Uzbek-Korean center for cooperation in the field of e-government and the digital economy will open in Tashkent in May, UzTAG reports.

According to the National Agency for Project Management under the President of Uzbekistan, on April 12, a meeting was organized with the delegation of the Republic of Korea led by the President of the National Agency for the Information Society Yeng Sik Moon and representatives of the Electronic Government and Digital Economy Project Management Center.

"The parties discussed issues on opening in Tashkent an Uzbek-Korean center for cooperation in the field of e-government and the digital economy, which is scheduled for May, organizing short-term and long-term training courses for the agency’s specialists, attracting Korean experts to develop a draft e-government development concept in Uzbekistan, and also assistance in creation of a uniform data processing center », reads the message.

The parties also made a joint decision on the creation of a working group to coordinate issues on opening the center.
