The largest flow of foreign citizens to Uzbekistan is from such countries as Kazakhstan - 2,456.9 thousand people (38.2% of their total number), Tajikistan - 1700.7 (26.4%), Kyrgyzstan - 1101 5 (17.1%).

In 2018, the number of foreign citizens reached 6.4 million people, an increase of 2.3 times compared with 2017 (2.8 million people).

The largest flow of foreign citizens into the republic was noted from such countries as Kazakhstan - 2,456.9 thousand people (38.2% of their total number), Tajikistan - 1,700.7 (26.4%), and Kyrgyzstan - 1101.5 ( 17.1%), Russia - 460.2 thousand people (7.2%). The largest flow of people among foreign countries was observed from Turkey - 74.8 thousand people (1.2%), China - 37.1 (0.6%), South Korea - 32.7 (0.5%), India - 22.2 (0.3%), Germany - 19.1 (0.3%) and Japan - 17.2 thousand people (0.3%).

The goal of the largest part of foreign citizens who entered Uzbekistan is to visit relatives (73.2%). The smallest share of the foreigners who entered have the tourist target - 7.1%, service - 0.9%, treatment - 0.8%, work - 0.6% and study - 0.2%.
