The National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan told about the deportation of foreign citizens from Kazakhstan involved in radical religious movements, the agency "Kazinform" reports.

“During the past (2018) year, we, together with other government agencies, primarily the Border Service, internal affairs agencies, when trying to enter the country or already in the territory of (Kazakhstan), identified and deported to the relevant states 58 foreigners who have involvement in radical trends,” said the head of the department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakhytbek Rakhymberdiev, on the sidelines of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Earlier, the representative of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported that 7 Kazakhstanis returned from Syria are suspected of terrorism. “With respect to 6 men and 1 woman, pre-trial investigations are being conducted on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities. These circumstances will be thoroughly checked, the decision will be made, the court will put the final point,” he said.
