"Last year, according to official statistics, more than 5.6 million foreign citizens entered our country. More than 90% of them are citizens of the CIS. Basically, citizens of Uzbekistan, Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The number of migrants from the far abroad increases. Nowadays, their number has reached 620 thousand people. They are mainly citizens of Turkey and China, " the Minister said.

According to the Ministry, out of 5.6 million registered in internal affairs bodies 2.5 million people. The number of immigrants in the near abroad in 2017 amounted to 2.3 million people, the far abroad - 178 thousand people. The citizens of China in 2017 registered 83 thousand people, Turkey - 12.4 thousand people.
