Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan sent a note to Kazakhstan. This was reported by the 24kg news agency.

According to the representatives of the local media, on February 16, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan delivered an urgent note to Erlan Abishev, Kazakhstan's ambassador in Kyrgyzstan. The note states that the Kazakh side was requested to provide information about the citizens of Kyrgyzstan detained during the special operation on the territory of Kazakhstan from February 15 to February 16.

Recall, on February 16, the Kazakh Prosecutor-General's Office reported that two of the 29 people detained in a special operation in Almaty, Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan regions were Kyrgyz citizens. Later, the Kyrgyz mass media distributed information concerning the deputy of Kyrgyzstan's faction Asylbek Damirbekuly. According to them, he was detained during a special operation on the territory of Kazakhstan.
