Kazakhstan took the 7th place with 74 percent in the index of happiness, which conducted by the International Independent Research Agency Gallup.

Moreover, the ten happiest countries also included Fiji, Colombia, the Philippines, Mexico, Vietnam, Papua - New Guinea, Indonesia, Argentina and the Netherlands.

As stated by the authors of the study, Ukraine, Iraq and Iran are among the unhappiest countries.

During the survey the researchers asked the question "Do you believe that 2018 will be much better than last year?".46 percent of Kazakhstani people who participated in the survey told that everything will be good, 11 percent said that therewill be worse and 36 percent noted that there will not be big changes. And 7 percent of them refused to answer.

54,000 people from 55 countries took part in the survey. The survey participants were often asked about happiness.

While most respondents (59%) said that they are happy, every tenth person of the respondents (11%) considered themselves "unhappy". Others told that they are not included in the category of happy or unhappy people.
