Kazakhstan delivered 855,1 tons of silver to foreign countries in the first nine months of 2017. The total cost of the metal which sold was 445,8 million dollar.

According to the Statistical Committee, exports (992,6 tons) comparing with the first nine months of 2016 reduced for the raw materials by 13,8% and for financial statements by 10,9%.

Most of the silver was sold to the United Kingdom. The UK bought 706 tons of silver (82.6% of total exports) from Kazakhstan for 364,2 million dollar. Comparing to 2016, the volume of exports to the UK (992.5 tonnes) decreased by 29%.

Meanwhile, 134,4 tons of Kazakstan's silver were sold to Germany for 73,7 million dollar. The USA bought 146 tons of silver for 7,8 million dollar.

Additionly, sales of gold also dropped sharply and even fell to zero. Kazakhstan exported only 0,6 tons of gold for 14,1 million dollar in the ten months of last year. Since the beginning of 2017, the sales of gold were assessed at 2,9 thousand dollar.

In 2016, Russia bought precious metals (0,5 tons of gold for 14,1 million dollar) and Great Britain (0,1 tons of gold for 11,8 million dollar). On the contrary, most part of the gold was sold to the United Kingdom in 2017.
